Easter 2009

What a wonderful Easter weekend! It all started Friday morning when we met some friends at Stomping Grounds playland for a playdate. OK-coolest place ever! It is a huge indoor playground/coffee shop. Jackson loved it there. Friday evening we went to the Good Friday service at church and then out for some ice cream with friends. We moved in to our new worship center at church, and I absolutely love it in there!!! Saturday morning Jackson's Pops & GranMartha kidnapped him from us. They took him out to breakfast, to the Harley dealership to look at motorcycles (Jackson is obsessed), and to the playground at the mall. He had a blast! We took advantage of a kid-free Sat.morning and got a lot of projects done around the house. We spent the rest of the day at home together-loved it! Sunday morning we helped out with the children's activities at church and then enjoyed an awesome Easter service. Afterwards, we went to my parents' house for a delicious Easter lunch that my mom made. Yum! Hope your Easter was special too!

Jackson got a new log cabin (someone from church was giving it away!). He loves to go outside and play in it.

Babymoon

Ryan and I had the most wonderful time on our "babymoon." We started off taking Jackson to meet his Nana & Papa John in China Springs, TX at Ryan's grandparents house. It was so fun to see them and to let Jackson enjoy farm life! We hit the road and headed to the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort right outside of Austin. It was amazing! When we checked in, they told us our room wasn't ready so they would have to give us a free upgrade. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but had all the nice luxuries we needed. We really didn't do much there except relax! We would sit in the rocking chairs and drink coffee, go on walks, lay out by the pool, sit by the fire, eat lots of yummy food, and sleep as late as we wanted. Our "treats" for the trip were a golf game for Ryan and a massage at the spa for me. It was so nice to have a mini-vacation before this baby comes. Jackson loved it too! His grandparents spoiled him- they even took him to Mr. Gatti's! The sweetest thing was talking to Jackson on the phone from the resort. He would say, "I love you, Daddy and I love you, Mommy." I missed him a lot, but we all enjoyed ourselves very much!

Here's a random video of our cutie pie:
