Great Week

We've had a great first week at home with sweet baby Ben. He loves to eat and sleep!!! I don't know how we've been living all this time without him. He is a perfect addition to our family! I found a few more pictures on our camera from the hospital...

Welcome to the World Ben

Benjamin Ryan Davis was born today at 1:54 pm. He weighed 7 lb 11 1/2 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. We had a great delivery and are feeling well this evening. Ben couldn't be more perfect!!!

It's 6 a.m. and They're Servin' Pitocin for Breakfast

We checked into our hospital room this morning around 4:45. Everything is well. The contraction Richter scale is all over the place now that little Ben is getting a little shot of "caffeine" to jump start this long journey ahead of him. The good news is the hard part is over... that horrible thing they call an iv is already set up.

It is now a waiting game... We will keep you updated!

Baby News

I had my very LAST doctor's visit this morning!!! I haven't made any progress since last week, but everything looks healthy. If I don't go into labor on my own, I will be induced at 5 am Thursday (14th) morning. Pray for a smooth and easy delivery!

BIG

Jackson is such a big boy! He is almost 22 months old, and he is a KID- not a baby! I love this age!!! He sleeps 12 hours a night, takes good naps, eats everything, communicates very clearly, and plays non-stop. He currently loves bulldozers, juggling, basketball, golf, winnie the pooh, blackberries, blueberries, animals, his new beanbag chair (thanks Pops & GranMartha), and playgrounds. Those are the things he talks about regularly!

I am also BIG!!! I have 8 days until my due date, and I am ready! I am 1 1/2 cm dialated and have contractions every day. So who knows when the big day will be! I feel prepared. The house is super clean. The kitchen is stocked. The laundry gets done every single day just in case. My car is washed and filled with gas. My bag is packed. The nursery is ready and stocked. My sweet girlfriends had a luncheon for me and everyone brought diapers and frozen food. Thanks to them, we are set!!! Now it's just a waiting game. I have been so thankful for such an easy pregnancy. I still feel great and haven't had to slow down much. I'm taking advantage of my last days of being pregnant...lots of ice cream! :-) I am so ready to meet my baby!
