Bummer

Our computer CRASHED last week. Bummer. Don't count on any blog updates soon.

Since I don't have any pictures or videos to share now, I'll just write a little bit about my sweet boys.

BENJAMIN:
My baby is 6 months old now. We went to the doctor today, and he is in the 75th percentile in everything. My chunky monkey weighs 19 pounds. He is loving cereal, oatmeal, fruits, veggies, baby mum-mums, and gerber puffs. He sleeps between 10-12 hours straight...AMAZING! He loves to snuggle (but not when he's sleepy-then he wants to lay in his crib), play in his jumper, watch his big brother, make noises, ride in the baby bjorn, click his tongue, eat, and smile at his mama! He still despises his carseat and refuses a bottle. He just started noticing when I leave a room. I predict separation anxiety coming soon. He reaches for everything. He scoots all over the place. He rolls over and over and over (all day long). He is the sweetest, most precious little baby in the world. I am truly enjoying every single day with my Ben.

JACKSON:
This 2 year old is full of energy!!! He has a precious heart and loves to please his parents. I feel like he is my little buddy. We have conversations throughout the day...sometimes I forget he's only 2. He still ignores Ben most of the time. I'm hoping that will change someday! Jackson gets really excited about Bible class, his extended family (and their pets), chocolate milk, the library, Chick-fil-A, and his friends. When we're home, he spends about 80% of his time in the backyard. He is exceptionally bright (I say this somewhat jokingly, since ALL of my students were exceptionally bright according to their parents!!!) . He is potty-training. I was starting to feel really proud about this until I read in a book that "if you can train a dog to go potty outside, it shouldn't be that hard to train an intelligent child." Thanks for that. I look forward to each new day with Jackson, because it's always a new adventure!

I am so thankful to be their mom! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Everyday Food

This may be old news to most of you, but I recently discovered (thanks to my mom) Everyday Food from Martha Stewart. It is wonderful!!! You can sign up for a daily email that tells you what to cook for dinner that night. All of the recipes are super easy and delicious! They also have a fabulous monthly magazine (kinda looks like a Readers Digest) that you can order. I am a big fan!

Here are some of the yummy recipes I've made and give my 5 star rating to:
Chicken with Poblano Cream Sauce
Black Bean Tostadas with Corn Relish
Baked Ravioli
Easy Chocolate Cupcakes
Easy White Frosting
Surprise Cookies

Tomorrow I'm baking the Old-Fashioned Apple Pie to take to our Sunday School Class Party! I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out. :-)
