16 Months Old
Our kiddo is an absolute joy. This is such a fun stage that I am LOVING. He talks non-stop and is always on the move. His favorite thing to do is to play outside with sticks in the dirt (what a boy!). His BFF is Charlie the dog. The most common words coming out of his mouth these days are: hot waffle, Pops, Kathryn (kakie), doggie, ball, mommy, daddy, cracker, apple, yes!, no, amen, Nana, Papa, elbow, happy, and thank you. There are many more, but I hear these words all day long every day!!! Jackson still hates to be confined in anything (car seat, stroller, shopping cart). I don't think he'll ever get over that. Poor kid- his mean mommy makes him deal with it and get strapped in anyways. I hope he's not traumatized for life. Jackson has become Mr. Independent at home. He loves to play with his toys and read his books (still no interest in tv). Here are some pictures of the little guy just hangin out...

We're looking forward to spending time with family this week! Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. :-)

Life Lately...
Our sweet Jackson is sick with RSV this week....YUCK! It is awful. He is so miserable, and it's terrible to not be able to help him. We went to the doctor and he said just give him Tylenol when he needs it. It takes 5-7 days to get out of his system, but he is contagious for 2 weeks. So we're spending a lot of time at home these days. I seem to have gotten some form of it myself, so our home is not exactly party central right now. My husband and mom are the BEST though helping out in every way possible. Thanks guys!
A couple things that have happened lately:
Our church had Family Fest the Sunday before Halloween. Jackson dressed as a cowboy, but half of his "get up" didn't stay on him. Oh well! He wore a super cute outfit his Tia Leah gave him, his boots, a cowboy hat, and carried his horse with him. I didn't get many pics as I was there alone (the boys-including my hubby- were at the Texans game) trying to keep up with Jackson.
We also celebrated Uncle Ryan's 24th Birthday a couple weeks ago. My mom made him this awesome cake. My husband Ryan thought it would be funny to ask her which bakery she bought it from.....not so much! :-)

Jackson has really expanded his vocabulary recently. He is learning all sorts of new words. We've been working on identifying body parts and animal noises. Here's a little video of his version of what animals say. This was taken today while he is still sick, so that's why he's so still!!!
Our friend Monica and her baby Annie came to visit last weekend. It was so fun to catch up with her and see her precious little girl.
I had another doctors appointment last week. I am always thankful to get a good report!!! I got to hear the heartbeat and see the baby from an ultrasound. It was amazing how I could see the head, arms, fingers, legs, and toes!!! It's really growing. My belly has "popped" but I pretty much just look pudgy. It's that awkward stage before I am noticeably pregnant. I'm 13 weeks now and am ready for the "feel good" 2nd trimester! :-)
That's about it from us for now. Pray for Jackson to feel better soon!

15 Months
I know I say this all the time, but I can NOT believe my baby is getting so big! He is 15 months old now and is quite a big kid. He runs (not walks) everywhere, talks nonstop, mimics everything we do and say, and is a blast to be around! We went to the doctor today and were thankful to get a healthy report. Jackson had to get 2 shots, but he was totally fine with it b/c the nurse was wearing crocs!!! He has an obsession with crocs, balls, hats, dogs, cats, and outside. Well Jackson had a very exciting weekend. He had a slumber party Friday night at his Pops and GranMartha's house. Ryan and I were able to go out on a fun date and sleep in until 10:00 on Saturday morning!!! It was wonderful! :-) Then Saturday afternoon we met our small group at a park for lunch. That night we went to an 80's themed bday party. Then to top off the weekend, Ryan and Kathryn stole Jackson from us Sunday afternoon after church! He had a blast!!! Hope he's not too bummed he has to hang out with just me all week. Here's a couple 15 month old pictures...

Quick Pregnancy Update: We found out our due date is May 14. I've already had 2 ultrasounds, and everything looks great and healthy! I'm 10 weeks now and actually feel pretty good. I don't feel anywhere close to as bad as I did with Jackson. So glad!!! I'll keep you posted on how Baby Davis #2 is coming along! :-)

Watch These...
Normally I'm not a big movie/tv watcher, but there are 2 things that I recommend you see.
1. Fireproof. It's a movie playing in most movie theaters, and it's wonderful. It's a Christian movie and has a great message. Go see it!
2. Set your DVR to record Oprah tomorrow. I know, I know...Oprah has gone a little nuts lately, but trust me! Kent Whittaker will be on. He is from Sugar Land and has an amazing story. I can't wait to watch it.
Enjoy the show!
